Electrical Sea Water Heater
The Sea Water Heater is a built-in system aiming at providing heating to one bell and its divers.
3 Type of Sea Water Heater are available:
SWH 800 litres:
The sea water is heated to a preset temperature in the 800 litre tank by Inconel immersion heating elements for high corrosive sea waters.
The delivery temperature stability is obtained through a 3-way valve mixing the hot water with cold sea water. The water is then pressurized to the desired pressure through a booster pump specially designed to handle hot sea water.
Each SWH may be fitted with 2 pumps for redundancy reasons. Pressure and flow are adjusted to the client’s standard.
In case of main electric power failure, the reserve tank of 800 litres allows, as requested by the rules, at least 20 minutes of continuous delivery to the divers, enabling them to safely return to the diving bell.
The SWH may be controlled from the Dive Control room using the touschscreen of the Remote Control Panel.
SWH 2x 400 litres:
Idem the 800 litres.
To ensure full redundancy, the 2 tanks and the 2 booster pumps are supplied from two different sources.
SWH 400 litres:
The 400 litre Sea Water Heater is a built-in system aiming at providing heating to 2 bounce divers.
It features one thermostatic regulation with manual back-up, one booster pump and one delivery manifold.
Options:
• Two pumps can be provided for better redundancy.
• One remote control panel featuring control lights and temperature read-out also allows to adjust the delivery temperature from the dive control.
Option: the electrical SWH may be coupled with an oil-fired heater for 100% redundancy.
